Going Beyond the Standard
Our Childhood Hunger Initiative is committed to providing more than the minimum nutritional requirements.
While the standard Power Pack includes two breakfasts, two lunches, and two snacks, every Rosa Verde Foundation Power Pack distributed to students at Longleaf Elementary School contained these items:
-
3 Breakfasts
-
3 Lunches
-
3 Dinners
-
3 Snacks
-
2 Juices
By exceeding the standard, we help ensure that children have additional nutritious meals throughout the weekend, providing greater food security for both students and their families.
Beyond Food: Caring for the Whole Child
The Rosa Verde Foundation believes that meeting children's needs extends beyond providing meals.
During our Second Annual Christmas Sock Drive, our members collected more than 200 pairs of new socks. Every student participating in the Childhood Hunger Initiative at Longleaf Elementary School received a week's supply of socks, promoting warmth, comfort, and confidence. Additional donations were provided to Ronald McDonald House Charities, allowing us to extend our support to even more families in need.
Join Us in Making a Difference
Every donation, volunteer hour, and community partnership helps us move closer to a future where no child has to worry about where their next meal will come from.
Together, we can fight childhood hunger, invest in education, and strengthen our community—one child, one family, and one act of kindness at a time.
